The green tariff is a government program that is designed to stimulate the renewable energy sector. Electricity generated from renewable energy sources is purchased by the state at high rates.

Duration of registration of the “green tariff”?

According to the law, the procedure for registering a “green tariff” for private solar power plants after submitting all the necessary documents is 3 weeks. However, in practice this period can take up to 8 weeks. For legal entities, the registration process is more complicated and lengthy; the consideration of the issue will take from 6 weeks.

Does the “Green Tariff” really work in Ukraine?

Yes, it works, and it is also enshrined in law. This means that non-payment of funds under the “green tariff” is a violation of the law, and the state guarantees the purchase of electricity at the tariff in full until 2030.
