Stages of designing boiler rooms

Preparatory. At this stage, all the necessary initial information is collected, on the basis of which a preliminary calculation is made, and the main equipment is selected.

A complete package of project documentation is developed.
All necessary approvals and examinations are carried out.
The boiler house is under construction.

At one of the main stages of boiler house design, it is determined what kind of boiler house it will be:

Built-in boiler room (roof). It can only be gas-fired. As the name implies, the main equipment of such a boiler house is placed on the roof, which saves most of the space, the rest is installed in the basement.
Attached boiler house. A boiler house of this type is located directly next to the building, may be adjacent to it or have adjacent parts. Most often, such a boiler room can be found in small houses and warehouses, as it cannot be used to heat rooms where 50 people can be present at the same time.
Separate boiler room. Unlike the built-in boiler house, it is located in close proximity to the object of consumption, but is not adjacent to it and has no adjacent parts. It is widely used to provide heating and hot water supply in industrial buildings.

Fuel

It is also important to choose the fuel on which the boilers will operate, and based on this, boiler houses can be divided into the following types:

Gas boiler house;
Solid fuel boiler house;
Liquid fuel boiler house;
Electric boiler house.

Modular boiler houses

Boiler houses can be assembled as a separate ready-made module, such boiler houses are called modular and can operate on gas and liquid fuel. Nowadays, such boiler houses are becoming more and more common.

Modular boiler houses are connected to consumers via a heating main.
The main device in such a boiler house is a heating boiler.
