What will the owner of the company get after installing a solar station for their own needs?
The solar plant will significantly reduce the current electricity costs and increase the company's profitability. Part of the energy needed to power production loads will be obtained from the company's own solar power plant, so it will not be consumed from the grid. The SPP will also help to smooth out consumption peaks and avoid additional costs in the form of fines for the maximum permissible consumption.
The cost of electricity from a solar power plant, the so-called LCOE (levelized cost of energy), calculated for a period of 25 years, can be 10-15 kopecks per 1 kWh, which is significantly lower than the electricity tariff for non-domestic consumers. The return on investment in a solar power plant occurs, as expected, in 4-6 years. Further, the use of a solar power plant brings net profit in the form of savings on electricity bills. The basic warranty for inverters is 5-7 years, for solar PV modules 10-12 years, and the linear warranty for PV power is at least 80% of the capacity after 25 years.

Description of the principle of operation.
In the presence of an external grid, a grid-tie inverter converts the DC energy of PV modules into AC energy, which is used to power the load. In this scheme, energy is not sold to the grid at the Green Tariff. Excess energy is limited as follows: a special energy meter measures the power consumption and transmits the information to the inverter, which dynamically adjusts its output power to generate no more than is needed to power the load at the moment. When the external grid is turned off, the inverter stops generating power to comply with European safety standards. The inverter will continue its operation automatically as soon as the external grid is available. This scheme is used for facilities where, for one reason or another, it is impossible or inexpedient to obtain permission to generate energy to the grid. In such cases, the SPP is used to reduce energy consumption from the grid.

And yet, how to calculate and select the right equipment?
The best and most modern way is to carry out the process of so-called simulation modeling of the projected SPP. At first, we develop conceptual technical solutions specifically for your facility, study the available areas for the installation of PV systems, taking into account your wishes. Then we analyze the impact of the SPP on the energy balance of the facility, taking into account the nature of electricity consumption by loads, and optimize the solution. In the case of large facilities, it will be necessary to design and adjust the model to the design solutions. We are able to make reasonable forecasts thanks to advanced software and unique experience in using it in the field of alternative energy. We use professional PVsyst software to model the hourly energy production of SPPs. Future SPP at the modeling stage (Fig. 2).

The software allows, among other things, to analyze the load power at each hour of the day throughout the year and the power generated by the SPP, calculating the amount of energy that goes to power the load, and based on this data, an economic model of the energy facility is developed. How can I get hourly load schedules?
There are several ways for a company manager to obtain this information. The best way is to contact the energy supply company to get an "upload" of your company's hourly energy consumption for the year in spreadsheet format (Fig. 4). In this case, the modeling results will be the most accurate. Also, the power engineer of the enterprise, as a rule, can provide data of actual load measurements on summer and winter weekdays, and we can use them - average accuracy, because there is no information about all other days (Fig. 5). And the least desirable option is information on the monthly consumption of the facility, in which case we can build graphs, assuming consumption is uniform throughout the week and throughout the day - which is unlikely to be true. In this case, the modeling results will be significantly degraded, and much better results from the use of SPPs should be expected.
